Christuhfuh is a rat!

Life on Mars, the American remake of the kinda-great British cop/sci-fi/just plain weird drama, just got a little less unwatchable. First they dumped David E. Kelley, which was a good sign. Then they moved the setting from L.A. to New York, which I guess is good. Now they're adding Michael Imperioli, AKA Christopher from The Sopranos:

In the adaptation of the hit BBC series, the former “Sopranos” star will play Det. Ray Carling, a not-so-politically correct tough-guy colleague to Jason O'Mara’s Sam, the cop who finds himself mysteriously sent back in time to the early 1970s to find a serial killer.

There's no way to make O'Mara more interesting, so surrounding him with interesting people might work. Or, in Lenny Clarke's case, louder.
