He couldn't remember the lyrics because they're not about how great Jay-Z is
Backstory: He headlined the Glastonbury festival in England, and the head asshole from Oasis didn't like it:
Noel Gallagher has declared hip-hop "wrong" for the Glastonbury festival, claiming Jay-Z's headline slot is one of the reasons tickets for this year's event have been slow to sell..."Sorry, but Jay-Z? Fucking no chance. Glastonbury has a tradition of guitar music, do you know what I mean?"
So this was Jay-Z's response. I'm all for telling anyone in Oasis -- or anyone in England for that matter -- to shut the fuck up, but the Hova did not exactly make the song his own.
Between this and the Kanye/Amy Winehouse thing... Open race war in the music biz?

Pretty funny of him...but what's up with the crowd singing along? Pick a side in this feud people. That just confuses things.
I think Orbital are widely considered to have played one of the best Glastonbury performances, and they're hardly guitar music. They are white though.
I'm just saying.
