She just turned 60, and celebrated by getting two tattoos. In her words:

If you have to ask that about an old woman - even one who looks as good as Sarandon - getting inked on her saggy skin, well, you're already lost. So yeah, why not?

I decided at a very early age (we're talking before I was ten, here) never to get a tattoo. For that, I have to thank my elderly next door neighbor and what the ravages of time had done to the ugly-looking blob on his forearm, which had once been the insignia of his unit from WWII.

A relative's daughter got one back when she was a teenager, and one of her co - workers later called it a "tramp stamp." Pretty much says it all.
