How could Mac betray Indy after all those minutes together?!

Yeah. I'm a Ray Winstone fan, but he was not served well by this script. They were going for "Amoral rogue who you don't know whether to boo or cheer," but mostly they just came up with, "Please make this character go away."

Too good Winstone's getting work, though. TOO good- one of the most deserving guys to get recognition (after Nil by Mouth from the too-fucking-awesome Gary Oldman) in later life. I love that. After The Departed he's now loved by all- it makes you believe in justice.

I went to see it yesterday with my wife and 12 year old son. Both loved it, but I almost fell asleep a few times.
I did note that there were quite a few over 70 gals there and they were all aflutter. I assume Harrison Ford is still a hunk to them.

Yeah, this was a bit of a disappointment, but it did have its fair share of classic Indy moments, such as the snake scene or the car chase through the jungle.
It just looked to me like Lucas had too much input.
Speilberg: "OK, so after Shia falls out the car, we'll have him find his motorcycle and catch up..."
Lucas:"I have a better idea! Let's have him swing through the trees like TARZAN!! And then his new monkee friends can help him!!"
Speilberg: "Fine, but this is the last scene I'm letting you add....you stupid petulant child."
