The big question: in this "unrated" version, did they do away with the strategically-placed hide-the-banana scenery?

Beowulf's animation was all around impressive, though the characters' movement reminded me a lot of Shrek.

Strangely enough, the more human-like these CGI puppets look, the less real they seem. The most realistic one in terms of body movements and facial expressions was Grendel!
