I'm so very glad I took the approach I did: I decided I was simply going to wait until the series had hit the five year mark or finished up, then go download the series without any commercials for free on BitComet.

I am so very happy with my decision: for instance, right now I am enjoying the first three season, fifty episodes of Numb3rs right now. And the first season of Dirty Sexy Money. And Reaper (which is awesome, btw: very Tim Minearish/Wonderfallish clever, just like you'd expect).

And Dirt (which is pretty fantastic). And Sarah Conner Chronicles. And Life on Mars (awesome Brit-sci-fi time-travel drama). And the Riches (which is yet ANOTHER awesome show).

Jesus, I didn't realize how much I rely on recording shows outside. Hmm. But man, there are a lot out there. And, right now, I'm downloading about sixty of the more current Lost's. So, good ideas to all: BitComet, baby!
