I've always said that when the day comes that buddhists start thumping each other out, that's the day I resign from the human race.

Hey James, you're going to go get the six-bit drill when I tell you that there is a Buddhist terrorist group? How about several?

The Aum Shinrikyo were responsible for the Tokyo sarin bombing and Tamil Tigers are both descended from groups of monks- the original group of monks who started the Tamil Tigers (LTTE) also originated suicide bombing. That's right, it's not a moslem creation, it's a Buddhist monk one.

There are also Buddhist chauvinist groups like the Muslim and Christian ones you find. No kidding.

Here's an interesting point- both Stalin, Beria (Stalin's uber-feared almost-Soviet premier), Lenin, Saloth Sar (Pol Pot) were going to be priests, both Catholic, Orthodox and Buddhist. They all stopped from monastaries that didn't have enough money to let them keep orders. All of them.

The lesson of this story? SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MONASTARY.
