I didn't bother watching the Grammys because this was going to be on Youtube within minutes
These guys haven't played a show together since Beyonce was learning her ABC's (assuming she ever has), and they were TIGHT. Holy crap! Special Bonus: No lutes.
P.S. By way of comparison:
Time is a bitch, but it's amazing that they can come back after so long and sound just like they always did.

Okay, I'm with the whole Police Reunion = good, but Roxanne? Yaaaaaawn.
Can I get an Invisible Sun with that?

Yeah, they're gonna play "Invisible Sun" as their live TV debut after a quarter-century away. He did the little scat-singing thing in the middle of the song, that should tide you over until the tour.

There's gonna be a TOUR? I thought this was a one-shot "eff you, we did it, now shut up already" thing. Woo hoo! Hooray for needing money when you're old!

I've pretty much written off concerts as miserable experiences that I never want to pay money for ever again.
This is making me rethink that.

To be fair though, they were tight for almost decade- that's a lot of practice sessions and set sessions and playing for audiences. They spent the formative parts of their lives either playing their own work or playing the same songs with their individual side bands. Sting himself played Police songs through the 90's and oughts on his own, and so did the rest. Their songs aren't, musically speaking, all that complex, so it should be easy to pick back up.
But yeah, they did sound tight.
