Dog the Bounty Hunter was there too, but I couldn't really think of anything to say about that

According to Bodog Beat, Blowing Smoke's own Estella Warren won her very first poker tournament this weekend at Mandarin Oriental Resort in Oahu, Hawaii, part of the "Bodog Salutes Our Troops: A Tribute to American Heroes" charity event:

The No Limit Texas Hold 'Em tournament was won by actress and first-time tournament player Estella Warren ("The Cooler," "Planet of the Apes"), who blazed a trail through the 90-player tournament, knocking out the two professional poker players along the way and taking home the grand prize trophy and a monetary donation made in her name to the Army's morale welfare department.

"I am in complete shock," said Estella Warren. "I thought I would be one of the first players knocked out, and the next thing you know I'm being handed a trophy. Needless to say, I'm considering making a career change."

You know, I'd like to see Estella take on Jennifer Tilly. And then they could play poker.

Snoop Dogg, Colin Quinn, and Carson Daly were there too. Two out of three ain't bad!

You know (she said reminiscently) I had never played poker in my life, and then my ex-boyfriend's family introduced me to it when we were still doing the family-togetherness thing, and it turned out to be a game so simple (no, not "deceptively simple," simple, like Forrest Gump) that a dead raccoon could have learned to play it. "Go Fish" is more complicated. So I failed and still fail to appreciate the mystique surrounding poker.
